ROUND 6 of 12
Remove Character Defects
Letting God Change What We Cannot
In Round Five we learned that lasting freedom begins by renewing our minds. In Round Six we take the next step—allowing God to remove the attitudes, habits, and character defects that continue to keep us in bondage. Pride, anger, bitterness, selfishness, fear, and dishonesty cannot be overcome by willpower alone. Through surrender to Jesus Christ and the transforming work of the Holy Spirit, God begins changing us from the inside out. Real recovery is not simply quitting destructive behaviors—it is becoming the person God created us to be.

This Week's Challenge
Ask God to reveal one character trait that is hindering your spiritual growth. It may be pride, anger, bitterness, selfishness, fear, dishonesty, impatience, or unforgiveness. Surrender that area to Christ each day this week and ask the Holy Spirit to replace it with His character. True freedom comes when God changes us from the inside out.
“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.”
